A story about Kris Krug
KK is dangerously more “me” than me sometimes in that he is busting out the kind of multi-disciplinary projects that i love to do … but at a breakneck speed with unmatched fervor and enthusism.
His skills in photography find balance betwixt technical craftsmanship and an aesthetic sense that the Japanese might call “wabi-sabi” – a sort of honoring of the stark and the melancoly, a celebration of the roughness and reality of life and its effects on we humans and our surrounding. Think of patina on a copper roof, or a chip in a teacup, or a flashing grin from an otherwise digruntled or downtrodden person. His ability to engage his subjects in such a spontaneous atmosphere is testament his personality, which is as important as his understanding of technique, in the creation of such compelling images.
In other words, he make everyone look cool in his pics!!!
